SITE MANAGER – RETAIL WAREHOUSE STORE FIT-OUTS

Location: London & Surrounding Areas
Duration: 4–6 week on going projects
Rate: £260–£300 per shift, depending on experience
Start: 02/11/2026

We are looking for a Site Manager to oversee retail warehouse store fit-out projects across London and the surrounding areas.

This role would suit a Site Manager with a joinery or trade background who takes a practical, hands-on approach to site management. You won't necessarily be expected to work back on the tools, but you should be someone who is happy to get involved, support the site teams and lead by example.

The Role

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site.

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams.

• Ensure works are progressing safely, efficiently and to programme.

• Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and site cleanliness.

• Work closely with the project management team and subcontractors.

• Monitor workmanship and ensure works are completed to the required standard.

• Assist site teams where required and maintain a practical, hands-on presence.

• Complete and maintain relevant site paperwork and documentation.

• Ensure all site activities comply with RAMS and health & safety requirements.

• Communicate effectively with the client, project team and subcontractors.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Site Manager, preferably within retail, commercial fit-out or warehouse fit-out.

• A joinery or other construction trade background is highly desirable.

• A practical and proactive approach to site management.

• Good knowledge of construction health & safety procedures.

• The ability to manage subcontractors and multiple site activities.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A willingness to be visible and hands-on on site, supporting the wider team.

• SMSTS

• CSCS Card – Black, Gold or White

• First Aid at Work

• Fire Marshal

• UKATA Asbestos Awareness
